AHTC’s response to MND’s FY2019 TCMR
We refer to the Ministry of National Development (MND)’s press release, Town Councils’ FY2019 Financial Statements and the FY2019 Town Council Management Report dated 15 March 2021.
For FY2019, MND has issued to Aljunied-Hougang Town Council (AHTC) green ratings for four out of five TCMR performance indicators – Estate Cleanliness, Lift Performance, S&CC Arrears Management, and Corporate Governance; and an amber rating for Estate Maintenance.
This is a steady improvement on AHTC’s year-on-year performance, which could only be achieved through the cooperation and support of all our stakeholders, including our staff, residents, contractors, town councillors, and various government and statutory agencies.
AHTC will continue to work hard, especially in matters pertaining to estate maintenance. We note that amongst other issues, the cluttering of common areas, particularly along the common corridors, remain a pertinent issue not just unique to our constituencies. We stay committed in educating and working with residents and agencies, such as the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) and Housing Development Board (HDB), to minimise such risks, while balancing our residents’ interest.
