AHTC Shops and market stalls to receive 25 per cent rebate on S&CC for June to August 2020

Commercial shops and market stalls operating under Aljunied-Hougang Town Council (AHTC)’s purview will receive a 25 per cent rebate on their June, July and August 2020 Service & Conservancy Charges (S&CC).

This decision comes following the announcement of a three-phased lifting of circuit breaker measures. Now in its first phase, many businesses are still not able to open, or are opened with restrictions. AHTC MPs and councillors have thus deliberated on how the Town Council can assist commercial businesses operating in Aljunied-Hougang Town to tide through this period.

This financial relief for commercial establishments will cost AHTC approximately $300,000.

Prior to this, AHTC waived charges for the use of outdoor advertising areas (ODAs) for all commercial establishments throughout Aljunied-Hougang Town that had to close during the Circuit Breaker period for April to June 2020. S&CC late payment fees have also been waived for all commercial units from April to September 2020.
