Letter to the Zaobao Forum – 18 Nov 2015

We refer to the Lianhe Zaobao YanLun article by Mr 陈福明 dated 16 Nov 2015. The Town Council has tried to look into the feedback listed by Mr 陈 and will address each issue he raised in turn.
 
We have identified the lamp post 220/2 which Mr 陈 referred to (as shown in the image below), however, our officer was unable to locate any debris mentioned in Mr 陈’s letter.
 
Mr 陈 has provided insufficient information about the location of the drain for us to look into his feedback.
 
Our officer has instructed the conservancy cleaners to ensure proper clearing, washing and cleaning of the bin chute, and will continue to monitor this closely.
 
The repair and repainting works mentioned by Mr 陈 covered 80 blocks across Serangoon and Paya Lebar divisions of Aljunied GRC and Hougang SMC. However, the cyclical repainting of Multi-storey Carparks (MSCPs) comes under the purview of the HDB and repainting works are scheduled and undertaken by them.
